Privacy Policy.

This policy explains what personal information Web Studio Vancouver collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We have kept it short and in plain language.

1. Who we are

Web Studio Vancouver is a web design studio based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This policy applies to this website and to the personal information we handle when you contact us or work with us.

We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) and, where it applies, Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you send a message through our contact form, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your business type and the service you are interested in
  • Anything you choose to write in your message

If you become a client, we also collect the details needed to do the work, such as billing and contact information, the content for your website, and any account access you choose to share with us.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, the service that hosts this site records basic technical information when a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. We use this only to keep the site running and secure.

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not currently use website analytics tools. If that changes, we will update this policy first.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information only for the purpose it was given to us:

  • To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote
  • To design, build, host and maintain your website
  • To send invoices and keep business records
  • To meet our legal obligations

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

4. Consent

By sending us your information through the contact form or by email, you consent to us using it for the purposes described above. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, although this may mean we can no longer reply to you or provide a service.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers we rely on to run our business, and only as far as they need it:

  • Our website hosting and form delivery provider, which delivers contact form messages to us
  • Our email provider, which stores the messages you send us
  • Payment and accounting providers, if you become a client

Some of these providers store information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it is subject to the laws of that country.

We may also disclose information if the law requires us to.

6. Third-party services and links

This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts and may display images hosted by other services. When your browser requests these files, the provider receives your IP address.

Our pages link to other websites, including free website testing tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to read their policies.

7. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous.

8. How we protect information

This website is served over a secure HTTPS connection, and we limit access to personal information to those who need it to do the work. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

9. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you
  • Ask for a copy of it
  • Ask us to correct anything that is inaccurate
  • Withdraw your consent to our use of it

To make a request, email us at craig@web-studio.ca. We will respond within 30 business days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia at www.oipc.bc.ca.

10. Children

This website is intended for business owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed. This version was last updated on October 9, 2026.

12. Contact our Privacy Officer
